To add a custom brew method:

1. Tap the settings button (gear icon) to open Settings
2. In the Brew Methods section, tap the "+" icon
3. Enter a name for your method
4. Set your preferred coffee-to-water ratio
5. Choose an icon and tap "Save"

Yes! You can change units at any time. Open Settings (gear icon) and select your preferred units for coffee and water separately. The app will automatically convert your current calculation to the new units.

Here are our recommended starting ratios:

• V60: 1:15 to 1:17
• Chemex: 1:15 to 1:17
• AeroPress: 1:12 to 1:15
• French Press: 1:12 to 1:15
• Espresso: 1:2 to 1:2.5
• Cold Brew: 1:8 to 1:10 (concentrate)

Yes! Coffee Calculator works completely offline. All calculations happen on your device, and your custom brew methods are saved locally. If you have iCloud enabled, your settings will sync across your devices.

Use the switch input button on the number pad (looks like two arrows). This toggles between coffee input mode and water input mode. The active input will be highlighted, and the keypad will update that value. The other value will automatically calculate based on your selected ratio.
